Driving Networked Advocacy to Advance Africa’s Resilience

On the sidelines of the Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) 2025 in Durban, South Africa, Resilience Action Network Africa (RANA), Pandemic Action Network (PAN), and the Strengthening Africa’s Health Technological Advocacy Coalition (SAHTAC) will host a high-level event, “Driving Networked Advocacy to Advance Africa’s Resilience,” bringing together civil society leaders, policymakers, and development partners to reflect on how collective, networked advocacy can drive stronger, more coordinated action for resilience across sectors.
The discussion will explore key priorities on how best we can organise and catalyse community-driven, networked advocacy in South Africa to bolster Africa’s resilience capacity across health, climate, and development systems in the face of urgent and converging challenges. This evening event will feature:
- A panel of distinguished leaders from government, civil society, and African regional bodies
- Insights on advancing Africa’s health and climate resilience
- The official launch of the RANA South Africa Working Group, highlighting RANA’s vision of interconnected advocacy networks that amplify African voices, strengthen community systems, and promote shared learning across regions
- A networking reception to connect with partners driving Africa’s resilience agenda.
